After 7 years, this???

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Florida

Seven years ago, my Father went into the hospital for care. He is insured by TRICARE, and they paid everything that the Hospital sent them bill-wise, except for the Emergency Room Bill of $175.00. TRICARE notified the hospital that they had incorrectly submitted the bill for the ER visit, and that they would receive payment for it if they would resubmit the bill.

Seven years have gone by, and now my Father is receiving notices from a law firm in New Jersey stating that since the ER bill wasn't paid, he now owes this money. TRICARE sent my father a copy of the letter informing his healthcare provider why the ER bill wasn't paid, and how it would be paid, if they would resubmit the bill. Obviously, the hospital did not resubmit the bill to receive payment, and now the matter is in the hands of this New Jersey based law firm. We sent the lawfirm a copy of the TRICARE letter, as well as a letter from my father explaining the situation, but they claim to never have received it. Some advice in this matter would be very much appreciated!

I can't believe they waited SEVEN years - -check - it may be time-barred against collections.
I am sure by now, even if the facility sent Tricare a corrected bill, that Tricare would make payment.... there are filing limits and things like that
