Health Coverage for Same Sex Couples?

I live in Chicago, IL and have no health insurance. I live with my girlfriend who also has no coverage and I wanted to know if it's possible for me to get coverage and have her included? Is that even permitted in the state of illinois?

For an individual policy, that will depend on the rules of the company and the individual policy. You will have to start calling insurance companies and asking. This answer is the same regardless of same-sex or opposite-sex unmarried couples.
