health insurance problem

Maryland
I broke my kneecap last June in my house. My health insurance had a $7500 deductable. My doctor had banded my cap together. the knot where he tied the cap needs to come out. I waited because I have been in debt trying to get the hospital bills paid off. Now my insurance is saying that I am out of the 180 day period of confinement.
The contract that I finally looked at says-
Period of Confinement means a period which begins the date an Insured Person is admitted to a Hospital or Outpatient surgery for the treatment of an injury or Sickness and ends when the Insured Person completes 180 consecutive days without being confined in a hospital or Out patient surgery Facility for the same or related cause. In no event will a single Period of confinement exceed 365 days. A seperate Period of confinement will apply to each injury or sickness.
date of the injury: 06 / 2007

Did you have a question? The contract info you posted seems pretty clear. (I think you meant at end of your post date of injury 6-2006 - not 6-2007 -- you said originally June of last yr.)
