HIPAA violationWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Pennsylvania I am 99% positive my HIPAA rights were violated by my primary doctor, chiropracter, and physical therapist. I want to know how I proceed with this? I did not give anyone of them premission or consent to contact my massage therapist or accupuncturist. My insurance paid for all three but the latter two came directly out of my pocket. Any suggestions are appreciated. |

| Your doctors are allowed to talk to each other for the purposes of furthering your treatment. If you believe a hipaa violation has taken place (which it probably has not), you can notify the hipaa board. They will investigate and possibly educate the offender. YOU get nothing. A hipaa violation without any actual financial damages is not sufficient cause for a lawsuit. |

| If there is a medical reason they need to do so, YES. |
