hippa violation/responsibilityWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? FL Can you advise if there is a requirement to file a complaint if a patient reports to you that they feel that personal information has been divulged by arnother organization/person? What about documenting that this concern was brought to you by a patient? thanks, Mitch |

| Only the party who feels they have been wronged should be making the complaint. If you are the healthcare provider, you would not file the complaint on his behalf. You should have an internal procedure to deal with potential violations reported to you, and follow it.
