Insurance checkWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? california I work for a medical practice that sometimes the patient receives the check from the insurance company, they have kept the check and not paid us on the bills, I read somewhere we can turn these people to the IRS for tax fraud. Is that correct? |

| how do you claim it is tax fraud? what you need to be doing is calling the insurance company and notifying them and asking for their assistance and, if your contract with the patient allows it, not messing with a long drawn out collections procedure and take it to court asap if the patient refuses to pay.

| No fraud. Garden variety non-paying debtor. Send them to collections.
