New Policy refuses to continue treatmentsWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Kentucky I have been on a short term policy that keeps having to be renewed every 6 months now. I am currently receiving a treatment for my hip that the doctors are still confused on and are trying physical therapy now. The insurance company is continuing to help pay until tomorrow until the policy is renewed for the next 6 months. However once the policy is renewed they refuse to help pay at all for anything during the current condition! Is this legal? Can they refuse to help on a treatments on a condition that they were already covering? |

| You have to read the policy.

| I am not aware of any law that says once they begin coverage they are prohibited from ever stopping. It is quite common, and quite legal, for some forms of treatment to be limited to x number of visits within a specific time frame. Look at the policy - does it say there is a limit for that kind of treatment? |
