No insurance

What is the name of your state?
PA.
My son was taken to local hospital. Paramedic bill, hospital bill, and doctor bill, etc. He has no health insurance. Treatment was great. Son will be without a job in a day. DX is severe night terrors. Has been advised to seek mental help through local government agency for the uninsured. He is past the age of 21 and at home with parent. Is there someplace to go for financial help with these bills? What is the name of your state?

But that's only going to help going forward, not for bills already incurred.

That's been my problem with this question. I can't think of any agency that will help retroactively with bills incurred before the application for assistance.

Medicaid does. They go back 3 months.

I know in Mass., Mass health will pay any bills within 10 days PRIOR to the application...

OP try your state health provider and see if they could direct you.

Oh, okay. Apparently, then, its state specific.

Medicaid usually does apply retroactively in many cases. If it will not, the patient can apply for indigent care through the hospital.
