What is the min. payment requiredWhat is the name of your state? Louisiana I had surgery 2 months ago and the bills are starting to roll in now. My hospital bill was $47600.00 billed to my insurance, they knocked down to $14000.00, $10000.00 of which they payed, leaving $4000.00 that I owe. I don't have a problem paying, but my hospital wants $650.00 a month, that's more then my house note. Can I offer them $150.00 a month without being sent to collections. I've heard that it you make a real effort to pay then they have to accept. What is the name of your state? |

| If you send them money, they will most likely accept it. But they can send you to collections if they want to anyway. Totally up to them. Talk to the billing department and see if you can work out a mutually acceptable payment plan BEFORE they send you to collections. |
