What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Georgia
I am a 25 year old male that just got approved for INDIVIDUAL health care with aetna. I have an AVM problem that I have been trying to treat and get diagnosed but all the physicians said im OK. I did this all before I applied for health insurance. Anyway, I emailed a specialist in AVMs and he told me that my problem is absolutely treatable. I have not been formally diagnosed by this doctor but I would like to have this problem treated with insurance. Should i wait 3 months and get it diagnosed? If i get it looked at while on im insurance, will my insurance cover it since its pre existing?

Since you listed it on your application and were approved, then I don't understand the need for the question.

Or, are you trying to tell us that you failed to disclose this on your application?

What does the insurance policy itself say about pre-existing conditions?

This is not a matter of law, at least for the next six months; this is a matter of what the contract says.
