I live and work in Florida. I work 12 hour shifts. During the 36 hour week, we get paid for 36 hours at the straight time rate of pay. During the 48 hour week we get 40 hours straight time and 8 hours at time and a half. We also get 30 minutes of overtime a day for shift turnover. We are paid bi-weekly. Our paychecks will show 80 hours straight time, 4 hours at 1/2 time and the remainder of the hours at 1 & 1/2 time. Is it legal to move hours from one week to the other for the purpose of giving us 80 hours straight time pay?
