What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Illinois

How long does this process last? I've been on PAID Admin leave over a month now pending investigation into allegations of misconduct by co-wokers. I had my interview with the HR investigator 4 weeks ago. what gives? Is this a norm for private non-union employer?? :confused

There is no required or set amount of time for a formal process known as "administrative leave." But as long as they are paying you, you are doing fine. If they stop paying you, file for unemployment benefits, you've been terminated.

It takes as long as your employer determines it takes. There is no required time limit.

Your lucky you're being paid & have been paid for 4 weeks already. If they stop paying you, then file for UI benefits.

How long does this process last? That's entirely up to your employer.

what gives? Apparently it's taking them considerable time to do a thorough investigation and reach a conclusion.

Is this a norm for private non-union employer? There's simply no norm here.

The ball is entirely in your employer's court. All you can do is wait and see what happens.
