I am being investigated for child molestation so I turned myself in and was in jail for one week. Now waiting for court date. I took vacation time while in jail and explained the situation to by boss. I admited to the boss there was some truth to the charges. When I got out of jail my boss fired me and said it was in the best interest of the company for me to not come back.
Do I have grounds for wrongful termination suit?

AT will employment?

Most people are employees at will and have no employment contracts or union contracts that protect them. That means that a boss can fire them at will for any legal reason other than discrimination on the basis of such things such as race, color, creed, etc. or no reason at all. If there is an employment contract, or a union, that's different.
