I accepted a job in Texas with a title insurance company in Nov, 2000 that was to start in Feb 2001. After I had given my notice and left my original employer I was told that they "were not ready for me" at the place I was supposed to work and I would have to make a 30 mi commute to a suburb. I would not be on the bonus schedule I would have been on since I would not be at the first site. Furthermore the position they offered would have been a demotion. I wrote to the head of the company but got no response
I have since learned the HR VP and my old boss have very close relationship. Is there anything I can do?
