    What is the name of your state?Connecticut
    Can an employer take money out of my pay if the register is short?

    In Connecticut, an employer cannot deduct from your wages unless you have specifically authorized the deduction or the deduction is required by federal or state law (such as taxes, garnishments, child support, etc.)
