breach of privacy

I was let go from a position with a county agency in california and told that it had not been discussed with other workers. I have information to the contrary do I have any recourse.

There is no recourse for such a thing under general principals of law; however, there could be recourse if they have violated a County or Agency rule or regulation. So the first thing to do is get a copy of those rules.
