I work in a dentist’s office from 7:30am - 5:30pm (10 hours). During this period I get only one break of 30 mins to eat. I was told when hired I would get an hour. Can anyone inform me of the amount of break time (if any) required by law? If you could point me in the direction of something I could print out and show my employer I would appreciate it.

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum

Florida has no laws that address this, nor are rest/meal breaks required by federal law. Therefore, your employer need not provide you with a break at all.
