Here is the situation. Due to Cost Reduction/Merger my old employer laid off 20% of their workforce (details at http://www.litronic.com/company/releases/cost_reduction.htm). I still keep in contact with my peers at this company and know that after the merger is complete they will be rehiring most of the technical people that were laid off (I'm a programmer). I was told by one of the managers that if they hire for my position, they have to approach me first. Is this true?
