I was lied to by an employer while appling for a
job.
Their was a sign outside of the building that
said NOW HIRING. I applied inside with
application and gave them my resume. I was told
to call the employer at a certain time to conduct
an interview. When I called, he told me that he
would contact me next week for an interview because some people
were leaving. Next week passes by and I recieve
no call. I call the employer back and he tells me
all positions have been filled. He didn't even
call me for an interview. I comeback to the
location where I applied and their is still a NOW
HIRING sign in the front. He lied to me and told
me all positions were filled. Can an employer do that?

Yes. However, if you feel that you were discriminated against for reasons that are protected by federal law, then you might consider contacting the EEOC or your local labor authorities.

Thank you

Thank you Halket. I appreciate your reply.

I just want to say to all ******* employers that when this world turns to anarchy THEY'LL BE THE 1ST ONES TO DIE!!! I hate all of those god damn sensitive employers who cuddle up in their postions of power. If your an employer (who is bad) I hex you. You will be poor and humble when your employees plan your demise. (good emploers are cool). I hate you all and you mother****ers will get your share of ****.

Again thank you Halket. And bad employers.....**** YOU!!!
