What is the name of your state?Ohio
I worked at walmart and was terinated for being acuused of saying a word I said I did not say.

I had two associates willing to go to the store manager with me and let him know I did not say that word, BUT THE AST.MANG. who did the so-called investigation said she had enough info to fire me.

The procedure at walmart is suppose to be
1-verbal warning
2-write up
3-d-day
4-termination
I had a verbal that was suppose to be taken off of the record do to a medical reason.

After talking to the co-manager he said he was going to recommend me coming back to the district supervisor, but he told me that walmart has a new policy about using that word. I said I understood, but wanted to know when the policy was put in place and why we associates were not told of this. He said he could not find it, so I could not be given a copy.

I have called the walmart home office and they usually help the associates out and a lot of times over turn these things. I haves called them three times but have yet to be called back by them,as they said they would.

Thanks for any help.

Well, very gripping story. I bet Bentonville and the surrounding areas of Rogers, Springdale and Bella Vista are all abuzz about your "WORD".

So, since you didn't ask a legal question, let me ask and answer it for you.

"Can they really fire me even if I didn't say the WORD?
Yes, they can.

"What legal recourse do I have?"
Absolutely none except find a new job.
