What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Montana
My employer has been telling my co-worker that she is planning on replacing me by the first of the month. I confronted her today about it and she told me “yes I do plan on letting you go” so I asked the question…when. She told me maybe Friday or Monday. Is this legal to keep me here knowing I am on the chopping block?

It was tacky of her to tell your co-worker that you were being let go before she told you, but it does happen, and it's not illegal.

Would you have felt better if she'd told you not to come in Monday because you were being let go? Of course not.
