I work for a company in Santa Ana, California that will likely file bankruptcy within a couple of months. My question is am I guaranteed as an employee to receive all wages and paid-time-off compensation that I have accrued in event of bankruptcy. Also, does it make a difference weather I have direct deposit or receive a paper check?

I'm not enough familiar with bankrupcy laws to say for certain, but I can tell you that it will make no difference whether you are on direct deposit or receiving a live check.
