I live in Washington State. I was laid off last Wednesday given the reason that there was not enough work. However, my employer is now advertising for my position in the paper. I thought that this was illegal. I was not fired because of poor work performance, I had worked there for 10 months prior to the lay off. Is this legal for my employer to do? And if not what can I do about it?
