I went to see an employment attorney and I wanted to know what does contingency mean? Does he get half. I was too embarrased to ask when he was explaining. Do I have to pay him if I loose?

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

No, it means if you lose, you don't pay.

What did this person say exactly?

That he charges on a contingency?
