I have a contract, rather my offer letter says I have to work with my current company (consulting firm) for 24 months( 2 years). If i leave them before that i have to pay them whatever money they put on me ( offer letter has no specefic amount). Now I have completed 14 months and Since market is not good and my company laid off many employees because they can not place them, i want to join my client work place. But my employer is not ready for this. They told me that they will take legal action if i joined them. What are the possible consequesces or what should i do ?.
