I started employment on May 16, 2005. The hiring manager whom I signed a contract with was fired prior to my start date. There were a lot of difference of opinions and promises unkept. I have since accepted another position. My questions for you is, when I accepted the first position they gave me a 5,000 dollar sign on bonus and in the contract it states that if I leave prior to 6 months I will have to pay this back. Looks like my new company is requiring me to start a week short of the 6 months.
Will I be enforced to pay this back? How so?
