Hi, I live in South Carolina, my question is in regards to job saftey, and how responsible is an employer to insure that his or her employees are safe in thier duties? What rights does an employee have if an employer consistently places that employee in unreasonably dangerous conditions, or dangerous conditions that could be prevented or reduced?
This would be a non-contracted or at-will position.

Thank you,
sincerely,
Wendigo

Filing OSHA complaint

You can lodge a complaint with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)an agency of the US Department of Labor. However, be sure to read about Whistleblower protection as it is not guaranteed that OSHA will find in your favor if you get fired. Go to http://www.osha.gov and look under worker's section. You can even file an anonymous complaint online
