new hampshire - I was hired to be an instructional aide in a school and then the job was switched to a special education aide halftime and halftime instructional aide on the first day without my knowledge or permission. My contract says instructional aide. I did not agree to be hired as a special education aide which is a separate and distinct job. What can I do about this?

You can hold them to the contract. However, you probably have to appeal this throughout the school system before taking it to court.
