What is the name of your state? TX

If the TX workforce commission has sided with the state agency that fired a man who was wrongfully accused by 1 person of violence in the workplace (no criminal charges ever filed), is there any remedy left from the state agency? The employee has a witness who will testify that the occurance never took place because he was present at the time it was to have occurred. This was the 2nd time the man was accused by the same person. 1st time was dismissed a few years ago. He lost his job because of it and hasn't been able to find another because of his advancing age. Is wrongful termination based on disability and age a possibility against the state agency? or is a civil action against the defaming employee a better route to go?

Thanks!
