i am in the state of georgia. i was let go by the office manager who was instructed by my boss that when i picked up my check at lunch that he did not want to see me there anymore. i had no idea that there was anything wrong...i did not receive a seperation notice and they are making me wait 2 weeks for my next check. the owner is not aware of georgia laws, in the short two weeks i was there i informed them of different things like i-9's, etc. i want to know if they took every step required by georgia to fire an employee. thanks!
