In april of 00 340 dollars was wrongfully direct deposited into my checking account. on 10-26-00 the accountant that made the mistake called me and said the never got their money back. Now they want the money that they put into my checking account by accident without my knowledge. My question is do i owe them that money? It was their mistake. I cant just write them a check for 340 dollars (which is advice from my bank). I am on a strict budget and it is xmas time. Please I need help.
