I'm a nurse and was working in an assisted living facility. Two of the nurses I work with and myself decided to give notice, as the place was unsafe. We have notice on a Mon. & on Tues. we were each called into a conference room individually and given a verbal and three written repremands. They asked for our keys and escorted us out of the building. They showed these repremands around the building, to the housekeeping staff and business office. Then... they filed written complaints to the board of nursing. These complaints are not serious, and there are no restrictions on our licenses, but it will stay on our records for life, even if ungrounded. Our policy book is very vague, in fact so vague that you don't even need a verbal reprimand to be terminated. I am wondering if they did not slander us by showing our reprimands around the building. And we were all mortified by being escorted out. Do we have any recourse? This is in Arizona. Thanks
