What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Virginia
I lost my job in November due to a sex offense on my Juvenile record. When I applied for Unemployment Benefits they disqualified me, stating that I lied on my application. I'm not a Felon, I can vote. I just have a Juvenile conviction on me. So when I filled out the application I didn't believe I had to disclose a juvenile record. I never did before. It's over 8 yrs old. I passed the Background Check. But someone else brought it to my job attention and I was let go. I tried to get it expunge but my lawyer said I had 1 to many Misdemeanors to take it off. I'll have to wait for some laws to change, just keep checking in with him.:confused:
