What is the name of your state? New York / California.

If a company were to run a background check, would claims against me in Small Claims show up? Im being unrightfully sued at the moment, and am just getting out of college trying to apply for jobs and dont want this to ruin it for me.

It is unlikely, but it's not something that can be ruled out altogether.

All background checks are not created equal. What shows up in a background check depends on what information is requested.

It is highly unlikely that an employer will think to ask about small claims cases against you.
