What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA
My husband was recently offered a job pending successful passing of a couple of tests, including drug screening. He has ADHD and is taking Adderall, which is an amphetamine. Should he tell the prospective employer up front that he is taking this medication and why? This seems to be a violation of patient rights, and possibly a catch 22. If he doesn't tell them, they might deny him the position because the test detected a drug. But if he does tell them, they might deny him because of his condition, which is controlled by the drug. Thanks for any help.

No, he should not tell the employer. But what he should do it take a copy of the prescription along with him to the testing, and tell the examiner.
