I had person that told me they quit...in their employee hand book states that
"Upon termination of employment for any reason, an employee will promptly surrender to ABC,Inc. all correspondence, written memoranda, technical data, diagrams, equipment, supplies, books, records, notebooks, customer lists and all copies thereof, relating to any confidential information about the company and or clients, whether prepared by the employee or others. Any and all property of ABC, Inc. must be surrendered at the time of termination. If these items are not return, employees will only received their finial wages at the rate of minimum pay. This rate is based at whatever rate is stipulated by the Federal Government. Final pays will be mailed within two weeks after payday."

Is this acceptable in the State of FL? Can the company be liable if employee does not get full pay? This is a freind of my that did not bring what was asked to them by the employer.
