Employer threats re: after-hours private life

None that I know of absent a pattern of discrimination on the grounds of age, race, sex, etc.

An employer (both the owner and his newest CEO) threaten all staff with termination if employee attends a party hosted by a recently terminated employee. Only two employees attend. Both are terminated within 4 months after 2 and 6 years of employment. At-will state law applies. Any recourse available to terminated employees?
