I live in Indiana and work for a company in Idaho. There are several parts to my question. First, my employment agreement includes a clause that states that commissions are to be paid by the company the month following receipt by the company. If they fail to do so does that breach the agreement? If it is a breach does it render my agreement, and the non-compete clause contained therein, unenforceable?

Nobody can advise you on the interpretation of your employment agreement/contract without reading the whole thing and taking Idaho's relevant case law into consideration. You'll need to show it to a local attorney.
