I am employed in manufacturing. After 3 years employment, the production process was changed. A new chemical was introduced,I had an alleregic reaction. The company sent me to their doctor and they proformed test. The results were, I was alleregic to just about every raw material in the building. This company is large, and our site was the US HQRS.
Well, they have put me on 12 weeks of short term disability and they suggested I look for employment, because when the 12 weeks are up, I am terminated. Can they do that? Do I have any rights against this? Don't they have to find a desk job for me?

Unless you have an employment contract or a union contract that provides they must find you another job, I don’t think you have a valid legal complaint against them. Most people are employees at will and have no employment contracts or union contracts that protect them. That means that a boss can fire them at will for any legal reason other than discrimination on the basis of such things such as race, color, creed, etc. or no reason at all. If there is an employment contract, or a union, that's different.

Also, I don’t believe your allergies would qualify you for protection under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
