What is the name of your state? VIRGINIA

I am wondering: do employers keep record of their ex-employees? if so, for how many years? where i go about to check what they (employers) have about me- like why I got fired?

Some states allow the access to personnel files for review and copying, others don't. I don't know of Virginia.
