I was recently (verbally) hired by a company. Approximately 2 weeks later I was sent info. regarding a report citing a crime; which had been over-turned by the appeals court; and that was also outside the requested 7-years stated on the application. The company asked for proof, and I sent the company the Appeals Court Mandate(proof). Approx. 2-3 weeks later the company sent another letter stating that due to the info. reported they were unable to hire me. What category of law does this fall under, and do I have a valid complaint and with whom? The company or the Credit Reporting Agency or both?
