CALIFORNIA- A mobile gas staion hired me because one of their employees had quit. After two weeks of work the old employee decided to come back, so the owner decides to fire me to bring him back. Can i sue the owner?

No, you cannot sue the owner. This is not an illegal termination. If the employer would prefer to have the former employee in the position, he is free to do so unless you have a valid and binding contract that says he can't fire you for this reason.
