I hope someone can help me, I was fired from my job because I had bronchitis and was out sick for 4 days, I did not have sick time but I did have a doctor's note. Does anyone know if it is against the law to fire me?
Thank you.

Does your company have a policy handbook? An attendance policy? Our company has a "no fault point system" meaning doctor notes DO NOT excuse you from work, you get a point. After 6 points, you are terminated. A lot can be accomplished by reviewing your company policies and/or past practice on behalf of the employer.
