What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Mississippi

I worked for a seller of telecom equipment as a receiving clerk and I was fired after I created a model ecommerce website (which has never completed the first transaction) and was fired for conflict of intrest. I would like to know what my legal options are if any.

You may be fired at any time with or without reason with or without notification at any time.

It is legally called "at will" employment.

The only time it is illegal is when your membership in a specifically named legal class is the reason for that termination.

Starting a side business is not a protected class.

Sorry.

Your legal options are to file for unemployment and to keep working at your new business.

There was nothing illegal about your termination.
