daytona beach,florida volusia county.... i took 7 business days to visit my grandmother before she passed away and then attended her funeral when she died... this was approved by my boss...needless to say she was very mad that i missed 7 work days... she and i had an agreement that i would work mon-fri 9am to 530pm prior to me leaving, being that i have a child in daycare who needs to be picked up by 6pm. when i called her from NY to inform her id be back to work on monday may 14th, she informed my that my hours are now 9-6pm. she is now going to fire me because i cant work until 6pm, even though we had an agreement, which 3 people witnessed. what are my legal rights concerning this matter? i was told that its a form of discrimination, and i should contact an attorney. Please help me with this matter. i have only been employed with the company for 6 weeks. thank you for your time and cooperation in this matter.
