I worked for a company Sept. 7th would of been my 2 yrs. on Friday June 22nd I was fired and given 2 wks severence pay, which incidently I have not received yet. I was suppose to be a direct deposit in my account this morning and was not.
I feel that I was fired because of an affair my boss was having with the military packaging lady. She started harrassing me the third month I was their when I got my first raise. She pulled me outside and asked if my boss was trying to get in my pants, I was shocked, and said no. She then told me she had been having an affair with him for 17 yrs. and please don't tell anyone. I kept this to myself, but the harrassment continued, She told me every bad thing he ever said about me over this two year period. about a month after the raise incident I ended up walking out from her harrassment, realizing what I had just done, I went straight to urgent care, and my blood pressure was thru the roof. I went back the next day, my boss had left for the week and told my supervisor why I had left and what she had told me. I told him I felt stuck between a rock & hard spot. He agreed with me. this has continued for two yrs. back in april I made the mistake of telling this woman I was gonna ask for a raise. She told the boss and to make a long story short, I ended up in his office and told him what she had said a yr. earlier, since that time he has made my life hell. He asked me to look for a file on the Monday before he fired me. I didn't have time to look for it, I have my hands full with all the work here. (I do all office work for his two seperate co.) I told him, (The file mysterisly came up missing out of my file box over my computer, over the weekend the week prior) and he replied "Oh I think you did, (have time) I think you do what ever you please around here" I beleive I was set-up because I know to much about what has been going on. I've seen the porno he emailed her, (she voleentarily would show me and when the computers got viruses (network) I got blamed for a virus from a chat room....I've never even been in a chat room on my home computer, much less work. Is there any legal grounds for me to sue him for wrongful termination? or any other grounds?
