What is the name of your state?CA
My sister is a receptionist for a mortgage company. She has worked for them for 3 years. She is 8 weeks pregnant and is having a very bad time with this pregnancy. She is constantly dizzy and throws up anything she eats. Anyway, the Doctor has put her on some special prescription medication to see if it would remedy the problem. The medication causes drowsiness so the Doctor orders her out of work for a week until he can further decide what is going on. After the medication, he prescribed that she stay out of work again for further testing. The people at work are giving her a hard time with not being there. While she is out on medication (her first leave allowed by her Doctor), her company fires her and now she is stressed out and is very emotional since she will not have any medical coverage or the money to pay for medical coverage for her baby. She is going to file a claim with the EEOC for discrimination. Do you think she has a good case for discrimination and wrongful termination?
