Florida? Can an employer force their employees to obtain higher insurance coverage if they are not transporting clients in personal vehicles?

If you are using the vehicle for any type of personal business - even if it's running to the post office on your way home, then they can require you to increase your insurance to a certain level. Htey are most likely asking this because their liability carrier is requiring it.

Carrying company property.

If he has liability only then any company property inside the vehicle will not be covered.

just one reason.. have still not heard of anyone Requiring it..
