Going to be Terminated, steps to take

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oregon

Based on company policy it appears that my daughter is going to be terminated. She is 20 years old and made a mistake, she is a checker at a grocery store and sold alcohol to a minor. This is not the issue, she understands she made a mistake and what is too follow. This took place a week ago and they (employer) has just suspended her, she received a phone call asking her to come in next week to complete a statement. My concern is she is being set up to and she should not go in and make this statement as there is nothing to gain by doing so..
Any advise on direction she should take?

contact an attorney first. I am not familiar with the laws specific to your state but in many states, there are criminal implications to what your daughter has done and if the same in Oregon, she needs to protect herself now. What she tells the employer can be presented in court so her statement should be well understood before it is made.
