My employer has withheld health insurance premiums from my paycheck. My last day was April 23, 2003. By my own calculations, my premiums have been paid through the end of May. However, the office manager cancelled my coverage, effective April 30 (the insurance company confirms receipt of the paperwork terminating my benefits on May 8). I received no notification that the insurance would be cancelled, and even attempted to confirm that the insurance would be effective through May 31, 2003. My employer had less than 20 employees. What can I do?
